At Returnless, we are on track to become the leading return solution in Europe. In just three years, our small team has grown into a platform that assists 1250+ online retailers in streamlining their returns. We proudly serve prominent retailers such as My Jewellery, Kamera Express, Josh V, and others. Currently, we operate in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany with a team of 29 enthusiastic colleagues.

What are we looking for? 🕵️
As a Medior/Senior Back-end Developer at Returnless, you’ll play a key role in building, improving, and scaling our SaaS platform that currently processes 10% of all returns in the Netherlands. You’ll design and develop new features, optimize performance, and ensure smooth integrations with leading e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce.
You have 3–6 years of experience as a developer (Medior) or 6+ years (Senior).
You are skilled in backend development (PHP, Laravel, or similar); frontend experience with Typescript and Vue is a plus.
You are comfortable with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
Write maintainable, testable, and scalable code.
You love solving complex challenges and continuously improving product quality.
You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with Product, UX, and Support teams.
Bonus: experience in the e-commerce landscape or with integrations (e.g. Shopify, Magento, PostNL, Sendcloud).
Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
What will you be doing? 🛠️
Designing, building, and maintaining new features in our platform.
Developing and optimizing integrations with e-commerce platforms and shipping carriers.
Ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance as our customer base grows.
Working with the Shape Up method: joining shaping sessions, contributing to bets, and delivering meaningful results in six-week cycles.
Collaborating closely with Product and UX to deliver user-friendly and impactful solutions.
Troubleshooting technical issues and providing second-line support for complex cases.
Reviewing code, mentoring colleagues, and setting high engineering standards.
Contributing ideas to improve our product architecture, workflows, and infrastructure.
